My Story
Hey there, I am Layne a.k.a. Ashley. My parents decided to call their children by their middle names, which made it confusing when filling out official documents. My first name is Layne, yes, I do like it, but I have always gone by my middle name Ashley.
I am happily married for almost 17 years, my stepson Tim who is 23 works with my husband in our Pool Contractor Business and subcontracts tile & coping demo work. George is 17 and is homeschooled. He works with dad 2 days/week, he started running our pool start-up maintenance division and the rest of the time he is working on his Senior Project, starting a powder coating business.
I recently took a larger roll with our pool contracting business, running quotes, books, license, permits, drawings and whatever else needs my attention. I also attempt to manage our 5 acre farm in my spare time.
On May 29th 2019 my husband broke his leg while playing on our UTV. One complication lead to another and was not able to walk for months. Five years later he still has pain, but able to walk. This incident has been an eye opener for me, I was not confident to run our pool business myself and generate the income needed to support our family. This left me feeling helpless so I turned to a dear friend of mine who has been succeeding as a consultant with Scentsy and my journey began.
I have noticed over the years that my mood has improved when around pleasing fragrances. I love these products because they bring redolent of pleasure, joy and happiness to me. The first bar I smelled was Sugared Strawberry which took me back to my childhood playing with Strawberry Shortcake Dolls on my bedroom floor. That night the smell wafted through my master bathroom into my bedroom leaving me with sweet dreams.
